Laurey Buckland
Registration from: 11:45am
Lunch: 12:30pm
We were delighted to welcome Laurey Buckland, book developer and publisher, who delivered an inspiring talk titled “How to Make Your Audience See Themselves in What You Say.”
Event Roundup
Laurey shared her journey, beginning with a story about Jean Hirst, an extraordinary former sprinter and pensioner who chased down a thief, making national headlines while Laurey was a junior reporter at the Mansfield Chad. This experience highlighted a powerful message: we all have a story to tell, and it is our unique experiences that make us extraordinary.
After becoming a secondary school teacher and experiencing a loss of her own spark following motherhood, Laurey has spent the past 18 months championing the power of using our own voices and stories to connect meaningfully with customers.
Through her inspiring talk, members and guests explored how ethos, pathos and logos can help us communicate with authenticity, combining our experiences, knowledge and perspectives with the stories of our audiences.
A valuable reminder that when we share our stories with purpose, we can build stronger connections and make our messages truly resonate.
Event Details
Laurey Buckland

Laurey Buckland is a former journalist and English teacher turned editorial partner and book developer. She helps female founders, coaches and consultants get the book that's been living in their heads onto the page, often in as little as 60 days.
Most people she works with don't lack ideas. They have years of experience, stories, opinions and expertise, but no clear way to shape it all into a book someone will want to read.
Laurey helps them untangle it, find the structure, preserve their voice and create a book that builds authority, opens doors and keeps working for them long after it's published.
You don't need a huge platform first. Your book can help build one.
