James Doherty

Indigo Mentoring

Registration from: 11:45am

Lunch: 12:30pm

James Doherty of Indigo Mentoring joined us in November on ‘The human element: the importance community in the workplace’.

Event Roundup

James founded Indigo Mentoring in his final year of university to connect struggling students to mentors and support.

He gave us some fascinating insights into what community really means, why we need it in the workplace and the benefits to our wellbeing, including lowered stress levels and anxiety.

James also explained how to build a community, even it’s just low tech e.g. through company profiles, email footers or LinkedIn, employees will feel more of a sense of belonging and engaged with the business.

James Doherty

James has spoken at large industry events across the country about the need for community in our organisations and the daily small steps you can take as leaders and colleagues to create stronger relationships, both at work and at home.

James started Indigo in his final year of University as a way to connect struggling students to mentors and support.

Over the following 5 years the software was developed in partnership with some leading Russell Group universities and large membership organizations.

Since then, Indigo has shifted to creating community platforms for businesses in various different sectors, using the same psychological principles that made the initial pilot so successful.
