Mark Saxby

Status Social

Registration from: 11:45am

Lunch: 12:30pm

In October, we welcomed former journalist and social media expert Mark Saxby, who shared the powerful mission behind his charity Positive Social - helping schools guide children toward healthier, less addictive relationships with smartphones and social media.

Event Roundup

Mark, who also founded Status Social, one of the UK’s first specialist social media consultancies, has seen both the huge opportunities and the hidden pitfalls of social platforms.

In his talk, he discussed how all of us can benefit from resetting our phone habits to boost productivity, improve mental health, strengthen workplace harmony and, ultimately, live with more abundance.

Social media expert Mark Saxby, who also leads the national schools charity Positive Social, will reveal how our addiction to smartphones and social media is harming our productivity, damaging mental health, and contributing to staffing challenges - and, crucially, what we can do to turn things around for us and the next generation.

Former BBC and ITV journalist Mark Saxby is the founder of Status Social, one of the UK’s first specialist social media agencies. He’s helped organisations generate over £20 million through social media - but he’s also keenly aware of its downsides.

At this lunch, Mark will share why his life motto is to live with abundance - which includes a determination to spend less time on screens. Through the inspiring story of a former colleague who broke free from tech addiction, Mark blends facts, practical techniques, and powerful storytelling to spark real change. Expect to laugh, reflect, and leave empowered to live your best life.
