23 September 2022
The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club
We held our annual charity golf day on 23 September this year at The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club.
A great turn out and despite the prospect of some precipitation the weather, again, did not disappoint.
We would like to thank our sponsors who gave our budding golfers something to aim for on the nearest the pins. So, thank you to our main sponsors, Smellie Savage Computers. Pin sponsors, Buckingham Group Contracting, Central Bottled Gas, Perfect Payments and Turner & Townsend with Buckingham’s also providing a prize, along with the business club, for the longest drive. The Nottinghamshire golf club providing the winning team with another round of golf to further improve their golf game. With a big thanks to our friend, Trevor from Pedigree Automotive for providing a prize to the runner’s up.
Thanks go to CEMA who provided us with a Spanish villa for our star raffle prize, Nottingham Rugby, Memsaab, Nottingham County Football Club, Chino Latino, Eloise Idione from Rialto training, Fitness Collective, Ezekiel Bone, Paul Ritchie and Turner & Townsend.
So who won?
The trophy was won by Rogers Leask with an impressive 105 points, narrowly pipping the Weapons of Grass Destruction.
Apart from a game of golf, forging links within the Nottingham community and having a great time we did have a purpose and that was to help raise money for our charity of the year – Base 51. We raised over £400 at this event – so thank you all for your generous donations.
Next year’s event will return to the Nottinghamshire golf club on 15 September 2023.
