AGM – 16th May 2025
Registration from: 10:30am
The 101st AGM is an important constitutional gathering of Nottingham City Business Club members to hear about the progress of the Club, and recent and ongoing developments.
The meeting also provides a forum for members to put forward their ideas for the future of the Club.
It was wonderful to see 35 members booked on to the AGM this year and voted in 6 new council members!
Event Roundup
NCBC membership has continued to grow over the past year, increasing by nearly 25% to just under 160 members.
Growth in membership due the 'wow' experience from the Motorpoint venue and the front desk team and also recognising and mentioning members during events - whenever possible.
2024 and 2025 has featured a fantastic line-up of speakers and engaging topics, covering everything from SEO and cyber security to marketing, branding, and digital design amongst many more
Alongside the monthly events, standout moments have included two lively summer socials, at least five successful charity fundraisers, and the always-popular, sell-out Legendary Christmas Lunch, this year featuring the inspiring Baroness Floella Benjamin.
A heartfelt thank you to Buckles Solicitors, Nottingham University Business School, University of Nottingham Innovation Park, Motorpoint Arena, Johns of Nottingham and Frank Key Builders Merchants for your ongoing support of the Club.
This year, a fair and transparent voting system was also introduced, giving members the opportunity to select the NCBC Charity of the Year. I'm delighted to share that Footprints were chosen, by members, to be our 2025 Charity of the Year.
A huge thank you to our volunteer NCBC council members for your support during a multi-record-breaking year in membership numbers, visitor numbers, member attendences, new council members amongst other metrics.
Truly has been a great year for the club.
