Heather Mayfield, chief executive of The Castle Trust Welcomed to Nottingham City Business Club
Her role is to lead the delivery of £3million funding towards the £30million project and to support the team in the development and delivery of the project.
Heather began her career in Nottingham as an intern at the Castle museum working in the exhibitions unit. She then joined the Science Museum in London as a museum assistant progressing to the position of deputy director. In October 2014, she moved back to her home city of Nottingham to take on the role of CEO of the Nottingham Castle Trust because she loves the Castle and, in her words: “the transformation of the site is the most important cultural project in the country.”
President of the club, Ian Roberts, said: “The Castle redevelopment is a hugely exciting and important project for Nottingham and brings significant investment in to the city. It was great to hear from Heather about what is planned and how work is progressing.”
