New president and renewed strategic partnerships herald an exciting chapter for Nottingham City Business Club

Craig Pearson, Head of Sales and Marketing at IT and Cyber Security Specialists, Your IT Department Limited, has been elected as the new President of Nottingham City Business Club for 2025/26, at the organisation’s recent AGM.

Craig is a long-standing member of the Club, having first become a member in 2016 and serving on the council for over three years.

Speaking about his appointment as President, Craig said, “It’s a tremendous honour to become President of the Nottingham City Business Club, especially at a time when we are seeing record membership levels and consistently welcoming more than 100 members and guests to our popular lunch events at the Motorpoint Arena.

I look forward to building on the success we’ve enjoyed over recent years, attracting an even more diverse community of professionals to engage with our impressive range of speakers who cover both local issues and broader business topics.

To anyone in the Nottingham business community who might assume a club with over a century of history would be stuffy or dull – I warmly invite you to come and experience first-hand the vibrant, dynamic atmosphere at Nottingham City Business Club!

I would like to pass my thanks to our outgoing president, Terry Ellis of h2o digital, for his work over the last 12 months and also to Joe Burns, of Reformed IT, who takes up the role as Vice President, for his ongoing support.”

He continues, “This is an excellent time to get involved in the Club, with some interesting and relevant speakers lined up as well as additional events throughout the year.”

The club is also delighted that a string of sponsorships and strategic partnerships have been renewed. Buckles Solicitors are NCBC’s main sponsor, and they have renewed their sponsorship for another 12 months. University of Nottingham Business School and UNIP / University Innovation Park also continue for a further 12 months as Strategic Partners with the business club.

The club has new joint drinks sponsors in the form of Johns of Nottingham and Frank Key Builders Merchants.

The club will be celebrating its 101st anniversary this year and is delighted to welcome its 160 members to a monthly lunch and talk at the National Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena in the Spotlight Bar & Restaurant.
